Columbia Estuary Report - 03/12/2000

DUNLIN densities are increasing along Clatsop Beach. I drove
from Gearhart Approach to Sunset Access yesterday and counted
1050 SANDERLINGS and 222 DUNLIN.

Female RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRDS have arrived. One was at the
Neawanna Wetlands yesterday and one was at the Astoria
Mitigation Bank today. TREE SWALLOWS were seen in both
areas as well.

A flock of 20+ MYRTLE-type YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERS were
at the Warrenton Sewage Ponds (no Audubon's in the group).
