The year I spent in North Dakota, 1934, was my introduction to black
squirrels. We called them "Foxeys." I didn't know why then. Only realized
they were a lot different from the ones here. While attending the ABA
convention in Minot in 1994, I inspected the old stamping ground...Remodeled
house still there and birds and Foxeys were still rampant in Eastwood Park!
