I think you saw a wild bird. I read just recently that they're on the march,
so to speak...yet another alien species introduced or released in America
that's about to take over a habitat/biome already occupied by an indigenous
bird, the mourning dove. If I remember this right, Konrad Lorenz left a
Eurasion collared dove in a cage with another species, and when he came back,
the Eurasian had killed it's cage mate.
We're going to have troubles with this one.....
