Hi Tweeters,

I love these little birds but am wondering if I have some sick ones around.
How can you tell? I see a few birds that are puffed up, not as sleek as
others but maybe they are just getting fat on all the seed they are eating.
I am very good about keeping feeders clean. I captured a picture of one
that seems more puffed than the others -
http://home.att.net/~lynnt_2/catbirdcam.html It is very windy today - I can
approached her outside (him/her ?) pretty easy but then he/she flies away
when I get with a few inches. this one seems to stay at the feeder and
sleep and I do notice, and please excuse the straightforward and
non-clinical nature of this, that when this one poops it kind of pops its
rear up and down. ??? I am fairly new to all this birding stuff and love
these little guys. I hope they are not getting sick from something around
the area.

Last year I was able to approach one and have it sit on my finger. They
seem to let you get up close and personal with them. They will fly within
inches of me and land at the bird bath when I am filling it. <g>

Thanks for any insight
