This is just a quick update. I have been unable to relocate the
"frosty" redpoll during the last two days. He may have headed north. In
fact, only ten redpolls have visited the feeder regularly during the last
two days. I have noticed one thing about common redpolls. There is
definitely a lot of variation in this species. Tomorrow I'll post a more
detailed update.

Also, the first tree swallows have arrived in Elk, WA. I probably saw
twenty of them today along the Little Spokane River on my way home.
