Hello Tweeters,
For the past threedays i beeing photographing an interesting Duck on Rustin
Way.This particular Duck was reported original three years ago on the
Seattle Hotline as a Smew.I went down Thursday alerted by an other birder
to check this Duck out.It is the same Duck i saw three years ago on thesame
exact area. The Duck is a mix between a Common Goldeneye and a
Buffelhead. The reason i say Common, i saw the green color head today. In
body shape this Duck is all Goldeneye. The headcrown is dark green and start
gettig black on the neck and down to the back. The black stops at the
Eye.Basicly the color pattern is as of a grebe, but not the shape of a
Grebe. This bird dives all the time and never stops since i obseved this
now for three days.It is a verry flashy bird and it would be verry
interesting to find more out about the origion. I also notice the eye is
verry large and looks almost reddish.
