sponsored by Palouse Audubon, is updated every Friday evening.

A EURASIAN COLLARED-DOVE and a BROWN THRASHER were reported by Frank Conley

Street. The thrasher is on private land, has been around for about a month,
but unfortunately is currently unaccessible. In the same general area, Wayne
Weber reports 50 or so SNOW BUNTINGS north of Enterprise, Wallow CO, on Mar
9 along Golf Course Road. OR DeLorme 87, C-7.

A BLUE JAY was heard by Charles Swift near East City Park in Moscow, Latah
CO, ID on Mar 15. The park is along Third Street east of downtown.

Courting FERRUGINOUS HAWKS were seen near the Palouse River at Winona,
Whitman CO, WA on Mar 12 by Tom and Diane Weber. WA DeLorme 56, A-2.

A big flock of TUNDRA SWANS, 250 to 300 birds, was on Mann Lake, east of
Lewiston, Nez Perce CO, ID on Mar 13 according to Keith Carlson and Bryan
Jamison. By Mar 17 the flock had dwindled to about 15 birds. Follow 21st
Street up the hill through Lewiston and continue on it as it turns into
Thain. Follow Thain and as it goes from 4 lanes to 2, turn left on Powers.
Follow Powers about 3 miles to the reservoir. ID DeLorme 53, A-1.

A NORTHERN SAW-WHET OWL was at Spalding Park east of Lewiston, Nez Perce CO,
ID on Mar 11, according to Clare Wiser. The Canyon Birders found the bird in
the northeastern portion of the park. Head east from Lewiston on US 95
toward Lapwai. Just after crossing the river, turn left into the Nez Perce
historical site and immediately turn right, heading down hill toward the
picnic area. At the stop sign, turn left and follow the road over the bridge
to the grove of trees / cemetery / picnic area. ID DeLorme 54, A-1.5.

EURASIAN WIGEONS were reported from several locales. On Mar 13, 2 drakes
were at Cougar Bay on Lake Coeur d'Alene, Kootenai CO, ID according to
Shirley Sturts. Cougar Bay is south of Coeur d'Alene along US 95. At
milepost 427, Turn west onto Cougar Gulch Road and look in the flooded
fields on both sides of the road. ID DeLorme 60, B-1.

In the Lewiston, ID / Clarkston WA area, Bryan Jamison reports 2 EURASIAN
WIGEON drakes on Mann Lake east of Lewiston on Mar 12 and Clare Wiser saw a
single drake at the north end of Swallows Park on the south end of
