I lived in an apartment complex on the Spokane River a few years back and
the Osprey lined up along it as if they each had their own fishing spot.
One of my neighbors at that time claimed that she had seen Osprey capture
cats from the riverbank's brushy area on more than one occasion. I have
seen the Osprey take squaw fish that were in the neighborhood of 24" so I
don't think they would have any difficulty with a house cat.
