hello tweets.

just now, a friend mentioned that she saw a newsreport last night
about "some weird seabird" that was blown off course and into
corvallis. she saw a video of the bird on the news, and described
it as being "dark with some white markings." she also remembered
it as being larger than the nearby birds (in the video) and the
nearby birds were clearly afraid of it. she also said it had a
"funny shaped bill; long, big and with a hook at the end."
she couldn't remember what it was, but when i rattled off various
bird names, she said that "fulmar" sounded familiar. does anyone
know about this bird? if so, could you tell me what it is and
where it is? i am driving with my colleagues to corvallis, leaving
tomorrow around noon, so a speedy reply would be MUCH appreciated!

regards,
