tweeters, This is a late response to the cat killing bald eagle; but a
few years ago, a friend living in eastern Idaho fenced in a large area of
their yard(in farm country) for their new golden ret. puppy; being worried
about the traffic. Little did she know that her puppy would become food
for a golden eagle. She heard weird cries and yelps, and ran out to see
her dog flying through the air with no effort on his part. So much for
the fence.....I still have my townsends male hanging around, but now he is
singing up a storm. Two varied thrush ( paired) happened to have the nerve to
show up in my yard for the first time today; after not having any
all winter.....such ungrateful cads they are......Vicki Biltz
