Hello Rahne,
I took lots of photos and already ask Dan Victor to put some photos on the
Gallery. I did not know it was you what identified this dusck as a Smew.I
wrote a note to Dennis the origin of this bird and other birders saw it too
three years ago.Dennis alerted me on this duck ealier. On Saturday on
Bowerman Basin looking at the Tufted Duck,i run in to Paul Cozen the one
what was running the hot-line than for the Seattle Audubon. He remembered
the call about a Smew.I was going down too and know it was a Hybrid of some
kind. Some birder from Olympia i believe saw this bird this year. It is the
same bird from three years ago.It is sure a verry flasy bird.
