Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This
report was made Thursday March 23. If you have anything to add call Harry
Nehls at 233-3976.

On March 17 an EURASIAN COLLARED-DOVE was seen in Joseph. A BROWN
THRASHER has been seen for some time at a nearby private ranch. A
probable GYRFALCON was seen March 19 along the Finley NWR entrance road.
The YELLOW-BILLED LOON is still being seen on Netarts Bay. On March 24 an
EURASIAN GREEN-WINGED TEAL was along Fenk Road, west of Tillamook.

A heavy VIOLET-GREEN SWALLOW movement passed through Oregon last
week-end. CINNAMON TEAL were reported from several areas, and scoters are
now moving northward along the coast. There were several reports during
the week of flocks of DOUBLE-CRESTED CORMORANTS moving through western
Oregon.

Last week-end an early CASPIAN TERN was at Brookings; two SNOWY EGRETS
were along the Winchuch River; a ROCK SANDPIPER was on the North Jetty of
the Coquille River; and an AMERICAN GOLDEN-PLOVER was at Millicoma Marsh
in Coos Bay.

On March 16 a SAY'S PHOEBE was along the road to the South Jetty of the
Siuslaw River, an OLDSQUAW was in the channel, and a ROCK SANDPIPER was
on the North Jetty.

A SAY'S PHOEBE has been seen during the week at Steigerwald NWR, near
Washougal. Another was seen March 19 in the Sandy River Delta, near
Troutdale. The BLACK PHOEBE continues to be seen in Milwaukie.

The two WHITE PELICANS wre still at Fern Ridge Reservoir. On March 15 six
ROUGH-WINGED SWALLOWS were over Wilderville, south of Grants Pass.

Thats it for this week.
