Bird (and biodiversity) Sightings Request from Northern BC

As a biologist based out of Smithers, I am compiling a wildlife database
and we need help from all naturalists. We are looking for any wildlife
sighting information in northern BC. This includes everything from the
Yukon border south to Francois Lake, all along the coast and as far east as
Upper Liard River, Cry Lake, Pitman River etc. We need species, location
(where they animal was sighted, i.e. name of nearest creek or town),
residency status (particularity for birds, what time of year was the bird
observed, are there year round, only during breeding season or migratory),
and what type of habitat was the animal observed in (wetland, shrub
thicket, riparian forest, coniferous forest, alpine meadow etc). Any
sightings now matter how long ago would be very helpful. The only
requirement is that you be sure about your species identification.

Please send any information, comments or questions to:

Copied below is our species list. We have selected 155 species out of over
300 possible choices. It was a tough decision but it had to be done.
There is not enough funding for anymore at this time. In the time the
database will be completed. This database will be submitted to Ministry of
Environment, Smithers Regional Office. The contract monitor is Don Reid.
