On my way to Whistler a couple of days ago, we stopped
at UBC on Grey's Peninsula. On Marine drive which
skirts the slopes of the shoreline park which borders
the peninsula, I saw a black squirrel scurry up a
tree. It had an eastern's tail. If they are found
here they are surely in the large forest that
seperates the U from the urban environment to the
east, but I don't see how they could spread from
there. Perhaps the sprawling scab of humanity will
have an upside just this once.
