In case anyone is heading to CA, here is some info on where to stay
and what to do in your spare time.

I will try to summarize Crane Festival weekend after I catch up, but
welcome any that attended to beat me to it. The favorites seemed to
be Prairie Falcons, Burrowing Owls, and lots of cranes.

Motel rooms are at a premium. If you, or another whom you think might be
interested, decide to attend, I suggest making reservations now. Here's the
latest status on motel space (Check web site for prices, amenities,
non-smoking, etc.).

Note: The four numbers at the end of each motel listing signify number of
rooms
available on Thursday night (April 27th), Friday night (April 28th),
Saturday night (April 29th), Sunday night (April 30th) as of today. The
Kern Lodge is a good motel for those coming in during the day on Saturday
(5 rooms available Sat. night).
