The Port Townsend Marine Science Center Cruise to Protection Island of March 25th was particularly notable for the following sightings:
Approximately 20 Bald Eagles (only 2 adults) on Protection Island
Perhaps as many as three hundred Rhinoceros Auklets on the waters of Admiralty Inlet, just south of Point Wilson
Hundreds of Western Grebes in Port Townsend Bay, midway between downtown Port Townsend and Indian Island
