All things are relative...

If one defines non-native as any species not clearly
evolved on the North American Continent, then Black-
billed Magpies may well be considered non-native. They
probably immigrated.

They are almost certainly less native than Turkey
Vultures, more native than Cattle Egrets.

If the criteria is human introduced, non-native...
than they are as American as maize.

The next time you encounter this magpie hater, you
might ask him to explain Yellow-billed Magpies, though...
