Tweets,
spent this morning in the valley. Didn't get to see the Say's but I had a
imm. PEREGRINE sitting on a fence pole to the north of Sikes Lake. 3 N.
ROUGH-WINGED SWALLOWS among the hordes of swallows at Sikes. No osprey at the
carnation marsh but did have several singing PURPLE FINCH, calling VIRGINIA
RAIL and one RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRD.
For Dianne:
There were two T. VULTURES cruising through Maloney Grove Rd. area in North
Bend at about 10:00.
And later 1 was flying east over North Bend Wy. (probably seperate birds).

To identify a species should not be enough to quench one's thirst,
a proper thirst must seek to understand every facet of the bird's
existence.
