Has anyone made mental notes concerning perch locations used by
adult bald eagles in downtown Olympia? A power pole on the Fourth
Avenue bridge appears to be a favorite perch but I am wondering how
many other perches these birds frequent. The Fourth Avenue bridge is
going to be rebuilt and there needs to be some consideration of the
birds and how they will respond to the changes. With increased knowledge,
it may be possible to ease the transition by erecting some alternative
perches in the area.
