Method: 30 minute (timed) station count from observation deck at Ecola
Point using 20x60 Bushnell spotting scope and 8x50 Bushnell
binoculars. Birds were sorted as to flyby, sitting rocks, sitting
on ocean.

NOTES: Three immature BALD EAGLES had stationed themselves on Birds
Rocks south of Ecola Point. At the time I arrived no murres were on
any of the rocks. Over the half-hour watch period birds began to
re-group on seal lion rock. Toward the end of the watch one of the
eagles flew to Seal Rock and scattered all the birds. It stayed at
Seal Rock until driven off by WESTERN GULLS.

Additional notes: I saw at least 14 TUFTED PUFFINS and 9 HARLEQUIN
DUCKS at Haystack Rock. A single PEREGRINE FALCON was perched in a
notch on the south side of the rock.
