Saturday I went to a friends birthday picnic at Golden Gardens
park in Seattle. Of note, there were about 7 MARBELLED MURRELLET
just far enough of shore to be a real pain to identify, and
5 BLACK BRANT, just north of the point. Also a couple of
KILLDEER by the lagoon.

Earlier in the morning, we went birding on UW Campus by the UW
boathouses and Union Bay (but sadly didn't make it to the
Montlake Fill before we had to turn back. Nothing spectacular,
but we got a wonderful look at a TREE SWALLOW nesting in a snag
jutting out of the water just northeast of the Husky Stadium.

Now I need to get back to work before I get fired.
