I propose we change the thread. Never having noticed that Kingfishers were
particularly skittish, I'd like to nominate Band-tailed Pigeon as most
skittish Washington bird. The seven voracious beauties that I have nourished
nonstop since last August are so skittish they jet-streak en-masse into the
woods if they even get a glimpse of me moving inside the house.
