Hello, Tweeters,
If Band-Tailed Pigeons are skittish, then I must have a tribe that are the bravest in the world. There's thirty of the winged pigs, and when I approach my feeders, they look at me, with that goofy head bob, but they stay in the feeders. They don't actually move until I'm virtually on top of them, then they merely lumber into the air to get out of my way, NOT to leave. They circle, hoping that I don't REALLY mean to scare them off and land right back in the same spot, before I've moved away more than fifty feet.
PLEASE take my brave band-taileds. I have never seen so few birds go through so much feed in so short a time in my life. By god, they're flying dumpsters.
