Hi Tweets,
I need help with a mystery bird. My boss has been tormented ~4 am every
morning for the past week by this "deet" "deet" call. Its the first bird in
the morning chorus and it is more like a soft repeated call note than a
song. He's listened to tapes of Bewick's Wren and Black-capped Chickadee so
its not their calls. He has tall conifers in his back yard in Shoreline
(north of Seattle for you out of towners) and the bird is calling high in
the canopy. Any ideas? I sent him home with a hand held tapedeck so we'll
see if he got it on tape. I'm kind of stumped and hey this could mean a
raise.
