Thought I would report my mornings findings, there are a few. I started out
at Bassett Park in Washtucna, then to the sewer pond and city park both in
Washtucna. Then I ventured and found Sand Hill Park, see Washington Atlas
pg 54 around B-4. It is found on Hampton Rd. Thislooks to be a exiciting
place with alot of habitat diversity in a small area. Unfortunately it is a
motor bike site although i did not see any today. Weekends may be a
problem. Also I birded it late toady between 0940-1106 and the wind was
blows and made it had to locate birds. The following is my database note on
the area;

This is the most diverse site I have found to date in Adams Co. Generally
the
terraine is high sand dunes with a shrub, grasses, tree or combination in
the
coulees. I found a small circlular wetland ina large grassy bowl, it is
surrounded by cattails. I also found a spring fed oxbow that is small in
area
with the narrow water in a horse shoe shape and surrounded by large willows
and cottonwoods. The willows and cottonwoods formed a gallery
overhead. There was also a juniper nearby. Everywhere current,
bitterbrush and (?serviceberry?), and big sage are found. Shrubs are from
ground cover to tree sized. Trees noted are cottonwood, willow, (?alder?).
This is a motorcycle riding area.
