You're going to the right place. I have heard Chuckars calling early in the
morning in the hills above the road just west of the turn off to Dry Falls
State Park. They're out there!

I asked this question over a year ago and now I'm asking for an update. I am
going East overnight next week on the 9th to Potholes, Dry Falls etc. and I
am going to be looking for one of my target birds for this year, the elusive
adorable Chukars. Any tips? Any (dare I hope) sure thing places?
