4 May, 11:18 AM, Scott Atkinson (206) 660-3862. 2 Western Tanagers on 2 May
and a Black-headed Grosbeak in the North Lake Stevens area.
5 May, 7:15 AM. Tom Aversa (206) 782-7342. Reporting for the Grays Harbor
Area; there were 6 Pacific-golden Plovers along with Black-bellied Plovers
off Brady Loop Road. The Pacific-golden Plovers showed that two were males
in full breeding plummage and 4 were females or sub-adults. An immature
Glaucous Gull was seen at Bill's Spit just before high tide. At Ocean City
State Park an Olive-sided Flycatcher and a Great Horned Owl were seen.
5 May, 6:14 PM. Dave Beaudette (206) 365-2083. Reporting for Snohomish
County; at the Everett Sewage Treatment Plant a light morph Swainson's Hawk
was seen flying over the sewage Administration Building. It was observed for
about a minute before flying west. At the Everett waterfront, along the east
shore of Jetty Island, viewed from the Naval dock, were 2 Arctic Terns, 5
Ruddy Turnstones. That's it. Good birding.
