I was lounging away my Saturday morning, sitting in the living room, when I
spotted some movement out in the yard. I ran to get my binocs, and when I
relocated the creature, I found it looked like a small, pale Song Sparrow,
with a gray supercilium and thin gray crown stripe; some yellowish color
below the bill; a finely-streaked buff-colored breast; and a clear white
belly. I ran upstairs for my copy of Beadle and Rising: a Lincoln's
Sparrow! Cool.
