Barbara and I made the circuit at Nisqually on Sunday 5/7 and found it
pretty good birding in spite of the lowest tide I've ever seen there.
The tide exposed about 1/2 mile of mudflats and we could barely see some
of the birds at the water's edge. We found relatively few raptors, too,
so we were surprised upon counting that we'd reached 40 species.
Warblers were particularly numerous, we saw scores of yellow,
yellow-rumped, and common yellowthroats, plus several Wilson's and one
orange-crowned.
