Slight drizzle now and then, but the weather was otherwise quite cooperative.
Brian Bell and I had a good time birding in the overcast. The birds were fairly
quiet, but there were birds to see:

Green Heron 1 on beaver lodge
Bald Eagle 1 sub-adult, 1 adult
American Kestrel Male in cottonwood row & over airplane field
TURKEY VULTURE 1 cruising down W. Lk. Samm. Pkwy
Ruby-crowned Kinglet 1 very worn bird
N. R.-winged Swallow 1 over Rowing Club pond
Western Wood-Pewee At least 2
WESTERN KINGBIRD 1 between E. meadow, airplane field, at noon
Nashville Warbler 1 in Ash/Aspen grove
Western Tanager 2 males
Black-headed Grosbeak 1 male near boardwalk
Bullock's Oriole 1 gorgeous male at Rowing Club

First Turkey Vulture ever. Pewee, grosbeak, and oriole new for the year list.

Six species of warbler + Warbling Vireo.

Nesting evidence for Robin, Bewick's Wren, Bushtit, Marsh Wren, Black-capped
Chickadee, plus Mallard ducklings and a fledged robin.

All told, a nice, round 50 species.
