I don't know if anyone has mentioned this great learning tool but I'd like
to recommend the site called the Virtual Birder (www.virtualbirder.com). It
takes you through simulated birding trips all over the country where you
have the opportunity to identify all kinds of birds. It really is as close
to actual birding you can get indoors and can be real challenging. You
control the direction you walk in what direction you look. Today I went
virtually to Illinois and did some grassland birding there. And found that
Charlie Wright of Sumner had been there a few days before! Yay, Charlie!
