Tweeters - A beautiful day taking a Seattle Audubon Birdathon field trip
along the Umptanum Rd. Many migrants have arrived (BLACK HEADED GROSBEAKS,
WESTERN TANAGERS, YELLOW WARBLERS, NASHVILLE WARBLERS, LEWIS' WOODPECKERS, RN
SAPSUCKERS, TOWNSEND'S SOLITAIRES). We had excellent sightings of nesting
PYGMY NUTHATCHERS, DE JUNCOS, NORTHERN FLICKERS, and RN SAPSUCKERS. We also
enjoyed the rare opportunity to follow a pair of WH WOODPECKERS for some
time. WESTERN and MOUNTAIN BLUEBIRDS were plentiful.
