I agree completely with Steve as far as taking the feeders down. And, in
addition to protecting the bear from humans, keep in mind that even "not
very large" bears are still quite capable of ripping you or your kid or your
pet apart if they feel threatened or cornered -- or are in a bad mood due to
a sore paw. Also, FYI, PAWS can't do anything with bears unless directed to
do so by the Fish & Wildlife Dept. -- same with marine mammals such as
seals.
