This is a reminder about this year's IMBD events at Woodland Park Zoo. Although the official day was last saturday, many institutions around the country (an the world) are holding their celebrations on other days during the month. We will be having morning bird walks for families and for individuals as described in the information below.

Migratory Bird Walk and Brunch for Families
Join us for a special early morning bird walk to celebrate International Migratory Bird Day and learn about native bird species that use the zoo's greenbelt during their spring migration. After touring the zoo with zoo staff and volunteer birders, enjoy a continental breakfast at the Rain Forest Food Pavilion.

Ages: Adults and Children 6 years and older
2007.201: May 20, 7-9:30 a.m.

Fee: Zoo Members: $35 adult/child pair, $5 each additional family member
Nonmember: $40 adult/child pair, $10 each additional family member

In addition there will be special activities for regular zoo visitors throughout the day. These activities include bird banding demonstrations, a scavenger hunt, the unveiling of bird migration elements within the Discovery Barn, talks on gardening to attract birds, and several booth with representatives from conservation agencies and organizations.

Oh, by the way, "Butterflies and Blooms" has reopened for the season. Hope to see you there.
