Hi tweeters,

Today when leaving my house right near the airport there is a field that
extends to the road and some starlings were feeding and in the corner of my
eye I see this hawk all of a sudden to a 90 degree turn down and try and
catch the starling, unfortunatly the hawk missed. It was a female northern
harrier. At first when I saw the white rump I thought it was a cooper's but
the brown and its style of attack gave me the right answer. Starling note:
there are tons of fledglings out and about and I am waiting for the resident
cooper's to come back and hunt them down like one did a couple of days ago.
I myself am waitng for some to come near my rockery to pounce on. No further
comments though. :)
