Subject: Important Virus Warning

There is another variation of the so-called Love Bug destructive virus that
hit campus on May 4 that is making news tonight. This one spreads the same
way, (sending to everyone in the Outlook Address book) but this one
overwrites every single file on your system that is not locked open,
including network drives, so it is much more destructive.

The lesson from the last round of attach was:
DON'T OPEN ATTACHMENTS YOU AREN'T EXPECTING

This still applies, but now you also have to be suspicious of attachments
you are expecting as well. This version of the virus/wom changes the name
of the attachment it sends out to everyone to be one of the recently opened
documents on the sender's system. So, if you are expecting a spreadsheet
attachment named BOOK1.XLS from someone, you may get an attachment named
BOOK1.XLS.VBS in a message with a subject line something like FW:
BOOK1.XLS.VBS from that person if they recently worked on it.

So, the lesson from this round is:
MAKE SURE THE ATTACHMENT IS ACTUALLY WHAT YOU THINK IT IS
Double check the attachment name. The clue on this one is that the name
ends with .vbs.
