Hi tweeters,

Last evening (5-19) I noticed for some reason a few CROWS flying together.
Then after hearing a few alarm calls from a flock of STARLINGS probably
nervice with all the noise the fledglings were making to attrack ACCIPITERS,
a CROW was stooping at a HAWKin a tree. This bird turned out to be a RED
TAIL. The other two CROWS that were with the one mobbing were calling the
alarm and were flying a great distance to attract other CROWS and then would
fly back and do this over and over when finally the RT left and grabbed a
squirrel on the way to another perch. The CROWS had gathered enough friends
to mob the heck out of the RT.

After a few seconds the RT left and went for another perch to repeat the
whole process and finally he left. I was hoping it was the resident COOPER'S
to get some of those FAT FLEGLING STARLINGS!! DARN! Maybe next time.
