This morning about 0730 I saw the Osprey at Larsen Lake again. This lake is
in the Lake Hills Greenbelt in east Bellevue. It was still perched in the
same snag at the east side of the lake about 20 minutes later. It began
circling the lake and in the next 10 minutes it dove four times into the lake
without success. During this time an immature Bald Eagle flew over. About 20
minutes later while again watching the Osprey circle the lake, an adult Bald
Eagle flew over. This is the first time I have seen two Bald Eagles on one
walk in the greenbelt in 10 years. In fact, both birds are quite uncommon in
that area. Quite an exciting morning.

My previous sightings over a period of ten years are:

OSPREY-- July 26 and Aug. 15, 1996--July 1, 1999-- and the previously
reported sighting on Tues, 'May 16.

BALD EAGLE -- Once in 1994 and 1995, twice in 1997--three times in 1998--0 in
1999--and now two today.
