Breaking news -- I actually have a specifically bird-related question.

I'm going through field notes from an early 20th century ethnographer who
did work here in Puget Sound country, and in one of the sources he talks
about someone's spirit power being a "swamp robin." As far as I can tell,
it doesn't refer to a supernatural creature. Does anyone have any ideas
about what this might be? The source is from 1930, so I'm hoping someone
out there might have a field guide or other source which refers to such a
beast...
