Hi, Tweets

This is a site for those of you interested in the trials and tribulations
of migrating birds. I am on the local Dark Skies Northwest committee,
part of the International Dark Skies organization which lobbies and works
tirelessly for an end to the many unnecessary bright lights in our skies -
if you are a skeptic, just visit the bottom of a lighted tower most
anywhere during the spring and fall migrations and count the dead birds.
However, I just wanted to provide the site for a local "lighting" disaster:
our own Space Needle. No one has done studies that I know of on the
effects of the sky beam on birds, but then it is quite new. If you are an
astronomer, you already know the effects!
