Subject: Vesper sparrow at Nisqually

Hi Tweets,
Cindy Sprecher and I walked around Nisqually yesterday (Monday). Lots of
activity, including numerous Willow Flycatchers and Swainson's Thrushes, and
many Warblers. Also great looks at females of all three teals (Cinnamon,
Green-winged and Blue-winged), with helpful males nearby. There's what I
believe is a VESPER SPARROW hanging out in some brush at the South end of
the new visitor's center (If you face the visitor's center at the kiosk
where you pay your money, it's all the way to the left, where the paved
trail turns into dirt and starts across the large field.) The bird did not
vocalize, so its a difficult ID for me, but I'm pretty sure... sure would be
nice if someone else would check it out...
Cheers,
Rick Romea
