As a bit of an addendum to my Marymoor Park report this morning, I stopped by
Totem Lake this evening around 8:00 while my daughter was tap dancing.

Looking above the rise to the north of the lake, I saw about 10 BLACK SWIFTS.
These birds seem to be passing through the lowlands today.

I have 16 records for Black Swift at Marymoor, four from May, seven from June,
three from July, one from August, and one from October. The earliest May
record is May 23. I am often on vacation elsewhere in July, so that month has
the fewest total trips and hence may not be comparable to the other months.

It would appear that Black Swift regularly venture out to the lowlands from
their breeding sites throughout the summer (or else there is a large
non-breeding population that moves around).
