Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This
report was made Thursday November 2. If you have anything to add call

A second year plumaged LAUGHING GULL was reported October 27 from the
South Jetty of the Columbia River. It was not relocated. Five MOUNTAIN
BLUEBIRDS were there that day also.

A BAR-TAILED GODWIT was at Jackson Bottom in Hillsboro October 28 and 29.
A BLUE JAY is now in the Sage Meadow area north of Sisters.

PACIFIC LOONS, TUNDRA SWANS, ROUGH-LEGGED HAWKS, and PINE SISKINS were
reported from many areas during the week. Many MOUNTAIN CHICKADEES and
WHITE-THROATED SPARROWS are now visiting western Oregon feeders.

TROPICAL KINGBIRDS were reported during the week from Bandon, Pony Slough
on Coos Bay, the North Spit of Coos Bay, Florence, and Newport.

On October 24 three CLAY-COLORED SPARROWS, five LAPLAND LONGSPURS, and a
SANDHILL CRANE were near Cape Blanco. A SWAMP SPARROW was at Millicoma
Marsh in Coos Bay October 25. A NORTHERN SHRIKE was on the North Spit of
Coos Bay October 29.

ROCK SANDPIPERS arrived last week-end with one at the mouth of the
Siuslaw River and five at Yaquina Bay. A BLUE-GRAY GNATCATCHER was on the
bluff at Yaquina Bay State Park October 29. A LAPLAND LONGSPUR was at the
South Jetty of Yaquina Bay October 28. A FRANKLIN'S GULL was at Boiler
Bay October 27. A male SNOW BUNTING was along the road south of Cape
Lookout State Park October 30. A HARLAN'S HAWK was in Seaside October 29.

Two EURASIAN WIGEON are now at Eastmoreland Park in southeast Portland.
Three were on the Dayton Sewage Ponds October 27. A BRANT was at the
Fernhill Wetlands in Forest Grove October 30.

A SNOW BUNTING was along Livermore Road north of Baskett Slough NWR
October 30. A NORTHERN SHRIKE was nearby. On October 28 a NORTHERN
SHRIKE, a GRASSHOPPER SPARROW, and a late WESTERN KINGBIRD were at Fern
Ridge Reservior. A NORTHERN SHRIKE was in Sisters October 29.
