More Snowy Owls are being reported from the upper midwest, New York, and New
England. Many of the MN Snowy Owls are reported to be in very poor condition
due to starvation and are being taken to raptor rehab centers. This
indicates a vole population collapse and many of these owls have to cross
hundreds of miles of boreal forest before getting to suitable hunting
grounds.
