I think we all agree about the coincidence of the two sessions. WOS
meetings are scheduled months in advance so we can have the use of the
Center for Urban Horticulture on Monday nights. This years renewal was
done far in advance of when anyone knew David Sibley was coming to
Seattle, let alone the date he would be here. The large room is so
heavily scheduled that it is virtually certain we could not have
rescheduled the WOS meeting. I would assume that David's schedule is
determined by his publisher equally far in advance. Even if both sides
had known of the other there might not have been enough flexibility to
fit both in. As much in life, I guess we all will have to make a choice.
