Rain, rain, rain. It made for a rather unpleasant morning, though there mostly
wasn't much wind (at least when it was raining), so it could have been worse.
Pretty quiet, but a few things popped up:

Canada Goose 1 Aleutian w/~250 other
N. Shoveler Quite a few
Bufflehead 40-50
C. Snipe? 4-7, in the air
Mew Gull Flock of ~1000
N. Shrike 1, East Meadow
Y-rumped Warbler Five, East Meadow
Lincoln's Sparrow Three, compost piles

We had one or two SONG SPARROW at the compost piles that were pale
(whitish-bellied) with markings predominantly in red and gray. There were no
brownish or sooty tones to these birds. Any idea what subspecies we might get
that would fit that description?

We managed 40+ species despite the rain.

The absolute highlight, though, was a LONG-TAILED WEASEL near the new Dog Area
porta-potties.
