Subject: Census Count: Astoria Airport Mitigation Bank, Clatsop County, Oregon on
Date: Nov 8 14:19:15 2000
From: Mike Patterson - celata at pacifier.com
A bird associated with BLACK-CAPPED CHICKADEES, BUSHTITS and
kinglets was heard making a repeated "yeeooo" call. I associate
this call with BLUE-GRAY GNATCATCHER, but could not get the
culprit to come out into to open. I can say with some confidence
that it was not a wren or a Hutton's Vireo.
The count sans BGGN follows:
Sparrow transect
prt cldy; wind NW 19.3kph; 10?C; 1011
Blustery wind made it difficult to get birds to talking; this may
account for low sparrow numbers.

Mike Patterson Alas, to wear the mantle of Galileo,
Astoria, OR it is not enough to be persecuted
celata at pacifier.com by an unkind establishment,
you must also be right.
