Hi Tweets,

I got out of the house for a little bit this afternoon
for some errands and decided to bring my bins along in
case I couldn't stop the temptation to make a couple
of side trips for birds.

I was rewarded by a male Cassin's Finch with a few
Purple and House Finches at the Edmonds Marsh.
Actually, they seemed to be loosly associated with a
flock of Goldfinches and Siskins.

I also stopped by Shoreview Park and had some nice
birds even though it was 1:00 in the afternoon. The
highlight was 3 Townsend's Warblers (2 males and 1
female) and a single Orange-crowned Warbler. They
were all in the area west of the soccer field, feeding
with Kinglets at the edge of the clearing, in some
Madrona's. The Barrow's Goldeneye and Bufflehead have
not yet returned to hidden lake, which surprised me a
little, but they should be back there anytime.
