This week-end I birded Kilckitat County on Saturday and then headed over to
Pacific County today (Sunday). Here are some highlights:

TUFTED DUCK- this bird was easy to find. It was with a flock of Lesser
Scaups at the marina in Bingen (soft G) in Klickitat County on the Columbia
River. The duck has "dirty" sides. The back is solid, unlike the Scaups.
The tuft sticks out like a sore thimb.
HARRIS'S SPARROW- it was also at the Bingen Marina. It was near the little
building with "FOSS" on the side.
Went to Lyle for the Acorn Woodpecker. Found the tree where they store
their acorns, but not them. There were LEWIS'S WOODPECKERS all over the
place. Lyle is also in Klickitat County on the Columbia River.
WHITE-TAILED KITE- the Kite was between Ilwaco and Chinook in Pacific
County. Turn north on Chinook Dike Rd. Go about .2 miles. The bird was in
the top of a small tree to the east.
In my travels I searched in vain for a Snowy Owl. Hope more show up.
