the South Jetty of the Columbia River, Clatsop Co., OR

Weather: Wind ENE 5-10; Temp 38F

Method: 30 minute station count west of "3 rocks" on
SJCR using 20x60 Bushnell spotting scope and 8x50 Bushnell
binoculars. Birds were sorted as to flyby, sitting on beach, sitting
on ocean or sitting on river.

Notes: There are still at least 2 BROWN PELICANS at the SJCR.
BLACK-LEGGED KITTIWAKES were very easy to see. Large numbers
of RED-THROATED LOONS were fairly close, PACIFIC LOONS further
out. A single intermediate phase NORTHERN FULMAR was cruising
the breaker line.
